About Intermip
Intermip was founded in 1994, initially providing packet switched network and electronic mail services to the amateur (ham) radio community. These services were soon expanded to provide Linux shell services to dial up internet customers. It was not long before the service from Intermip had attracted new clients requiring web hosting, domain registrations and fully scalable information technology solutions.
To compliment these services Intermip provided specialist consultancy for IT installations to new and existing businesses in the Birmingham area.
In 2000 Intermip obtained its first rack space in Telehouse at Docklands. It was soon apparent that clients could make use of this low cost co-location facility as provided and in 2002 additional space and connectivity was acquired in Global Switch another data centre located within the same area.
In 2007 Intermips continuing commitment to provide our customers with economical internet solutions and to meet FSA regulations We moved our operations outside of the M25.
